Transportation

There are a number of ways to get around the Cape, including taxis, trains, minibuses and buses. Public transport can be somewhat limiting though, if you really want to get out and about in the Cape, we recommend you hire a car.

Getting around Cape Town is easy once you know some basics!

Read about the transportation options available within Cape Town (and the greater Cape region). Most of the taxi options, whether minibuses, rikkis or standard taxis, can just be hailed on the street. We have also listed some airlines that service Cape Town, both from international and domestic locales. More general information about getting to and from South Africa, as well as travelling around the country, can be found at our South Africa Transportation Guide.

Be sure to visit the Tours section to book one of their Cultural, City or Best of Cape Tours. For airport transfers, book directly through us: info@capetownhotel-link.com.

Again, you can find information about airport transfer companies and shuttle services at the International Airport and at your accommodation quite easily.
