There is always something going on in and around Cape Town. The city is known as the sporting, arts and cultural centre of South Africa. If you're into theatre, biking, drinking, music or shopping, this is your town! December and January are the really busy time for holiday visitors, but there are plenty of exciting events throughout the year.

There is nothing quite like a picnic in one of the world's most beautiful gardens.  Kirstenbosch hosts some of the most magical evenings in all of Cape Town during its annual Carols by Candlelight Concerts.  Traditional carols are sung by a crowd of thousands accompanied by Cape Town's Concert Brass Band and the Cape Town Male Voice Choir.
